1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 327/300 4-Speed with factory A/C, numbers matching
Numbers-matching 327/300 4-speed C2 coupe bid at roughly half of recent sales, six days left.
1964 Chevrolet Corvette
Ended Why we picked it
This 1964 Sting Ray coupe keeps its numbers-matching 327/300 (RQ engine code, which decodes to a 4-speed car with air conditioning) and a 4-speed manual. The seller says it had a body-off restoration between 2013 and 2023 and was refinished from Ermine White to PPG dark blue metallic over new Al Knoch dark blue leather. A front disc brake kit has been added. It has a clean Oklahoma title and service records. Factory A/C was a rare option in 1964, but here it does not work and the driver-side vent is missing.
The current bid of $37,500 is well under where comparable small-block coupes have been selling. The auction runs until October 12, and bids usually climb near the end, so treat the current number as a starting point. Even at $50k it would still be below recent comps.
The value check
When we found it, the bid was $37,500. Comparable cars in the same condition have sold for $60,000–$80,000, so the middle of the market is about $70,000. That put this car 46% under.
Recent sales of 1964-65 small-block C2 coupes run from about $68,750 (BaT, Sept 2026) to $90,200, with nicer cars past $100k. A color-changed driver with non-working A/C sits at the lower end, so $60k-$80k is a fair range.

- 1965 Corvette 327/L76 coupe, BaT, $73,500 (Sep 2026)
- 1964 Corvette 327/L84 Fuelie coupe, Saratoga, $75,000 (Sep 2026)
- 1964 Corvette 327/L75 coupe, Mecum, $110,000 (Sep 2026)
What to check
- Look at the birdcage (the steel cage inside the fiberglass), especially the windshield pillars and rocker areas, for rust
- Check the frame rails ahead of the rear wheels and the trailing-arm mounts
- The A/C does not work and the driver-side duct/vent is missing; the seller has not given a repair cost
- The color change from Ermine White and the non-original interior will matter to NCRS-type buyers
- The mileage is listed as TMU (true mileage unknown); ask for the restoration records and photos
Making it drive like new
Keep the numbers-matching 327 and gearbox stored safely. For a driver, a working modern A/C system (Vintage Air or similar), a Tremec 5-speed and upgraded rear trailing-arm bushings make it a great road car without permanent changes.

How it ended
Bidding reached $54,500 but the car didn't sell (ended Oct 12, 2026). Unsold cars often get relisted, so it may turn up again.
