RodderMods

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026.

This policy explains what information RodderMods collects, which cookies the site and our partners use, how the site makes money, and the choices you have. You can change your cookie choices at any time with the link at the bottom of every page.

What we collect

  • Newsletter: if you sign up, we store your email address and the date you joined.
  • Send us a deal: we store the listing link, the text read from your screenshot (in your own browser), your notes, and your name and email if you give them. The screenshot is kept privately so we can check the car; it is never posted. We use your email only to tell you whether the car made the list.
  • Contact form: we store your name, email address and message so we can reply.
  • Link clicks: when you click a link to a store or listing, we count the click with a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself.
  • Server logs: our web host keeps standard logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for or store payment details, and we do not sell your email address or contact details to anyone.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This site uses four kinds:

  • Necessary: a session cookie (rmsess) that keeps forms secure, and a cookie (rm_consent) that remembers your privacy choices for 12 months. These are always on.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) that tell us how many people visit and which pages they read. We use this to decide what to write next.
  • Advertising: when ads are shown, Google AdSense or another ad network we work with may set cookies (such as __gads and IDE) to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure results.
  • Personalized ads: with your permission, ad partners can use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you agree to them. Everywhere else they are on by default, and you can turn them off in Privacy settings.

Advertising and Google

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google Ads Settings, and from many other ad companies at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. If you turn off personalized ads you will still see ads, but they will be based on the page you are reading instead of your browsing history.

Affiliate links

Some links to stores are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We also take part in the eBay Partner Network and other retailers' programs. When you click through, the store (for example Amazon or eBay) may set its own cookie so it can credit the sale to us; that cookie is governed by the store's own privacy policy. Read more in our affiliate and advertising disclosure.

Your privacy rights in the United States

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws have the right to know what personal information we hold, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. However, letting ad partners use cookies to show personalized ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under these laws.

To opt out, open and turn off Personalized ads, or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of any page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we turn off personalized ads automatically. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Your rights in Europe and the UK

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and you can withdraw it at any time in Privacy settings. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Embedded videos

Videos load from YouTube only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

How long we keep data

We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe, contact messages for up to two years, and click counts in anonymized form.

Contact and requests

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email askus@flagstonemedia.com or use our contact form. Every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link. We will reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
