What it is

A new wiring harness with modern fuses and relays, a higher-output alternator, modern gauges (digital, or analog with electronic senders) and LED headlights that fit the original buckets.

Why it matters

Fifty-year-old wiring is brittle and under-fused, and it's a common cause of classic car fires. A new harness is safer and has room for fuel injection, electric fans, A/C and a stereo, and a bigger alternator keeps up with them. Accurate gauges and brighter headlights make night driving and long trips far less of a gamble.
