1958–64 Impala, Bel Air & Biscayne chassis stiffening
1 kit to stiffen the frame, from frame rails and connectors to braces and roll bars.
- How it's built
- Body-on-frame X-frame (center X with no side rails; the body rockers carry the side loads)
- Weak spots
- Without side rails the X-frame twists and gives little side-impact protection. The rear upper-arm crossmember is a known weak point under traction, and the stock bushings and Panhard bar let the axle wander.
