1971 De Tomaso Pantera
An early Pantera: Italian body, Ford Cleveland V8, and a list of known weak spots to fix properly.
Stage: Planning
Panteras pair an Italian body by Ghia with a Ford 351 Cleveland and a ZF transaxle. They're fast and beautiful, and they have well-known problems, most of all heat: the radiator sits up front and the engine sits behind you, with long coolant runs between them. This build tackles cooling, cabin heat, brakes, electrics and drivability without changing how the car looks.
