Starting prices aren't always comparable. Some include suspension, steering and brakes; some are a bare frame or front clip and the rest is extra. - Steel unibody
- Front suspension
- MacPherson struts with lower control arms, tension rods and coil springs. Steering is a recirculating-ball steering box with linkage rather than a rack.
- Rear suspension
- Sedans use independent rear suspension with semi-trailing arms, coil springs and an R160 differential on a mustache-style crossmember. Wagons use a solid rear axle on leaf springs.
- Weak spots
- Strut towers, floor pans, rocker panels, rear quarter panels and the trunk floor rust. The R160 differential and rubber-bushed semi-trailing arms are the weak links when power goes up, and the steering box and idler arm wear and get loose.
