1994–2001 Acura Integra (DC2) chassis

This car is a unibody, so there's no separate frame to replace. The way to modernize it is to upgrade the original suspension, stiffen the body shell and fix the known weak spots.

Upgrade the original chassis

How it's built
Steel unibody
Front suspension
Double wishbone suspension with coil-over dampers, compliance-bushed lower arms and an anti-roll bar. Power rack-and-pinion steering.
Rear suspension
Double wishbone independent rear suspension with trailing arms and an anti-roll bar. The car is front-wheel drive; the Type R has a helical limited-slip differential and other trims are open.
Weak spots
Rear wheel arches, rear quarter panels and rocker panels rust. Rear trailing arm and front compliance bushings wear out, and lowered cars need camber correction; theft and stripped cars are common.

Stiffening the body or frame? We list 3 kits for this car, such as frame rails, subframe connectors and braces, on its Chassis stiffening page.
