1966–70 Fairlane & Torino chassis stiffening
3 kits to stiffen the body shell, from frame rails and connectors to braces and roll bars.
- How it's built
- Unibody with integrated front frame rails (Ford intermediate; body-on-frame did not arrive until 1972)
- Weak spots
- A heavy car on a unibody with long unsupported floor sections, so it flexes under big-block torque. It has tower-mounted springs, soft bushings and slow, vague linkage steering.
