Reading these prices

Starting prices aren't always comparable. Some include suspension, steering and brakes; some are a bare frame or front clip and the rest is extra. Check the Front and Rear columns and each product's notes before comparing totals. "Price on request" means the builder quotes each build. Confirm with the builder before you order, and send corrections through our contact page.

Upgrade the original chassis

How it's built
Full ladder frame (C-channel rails, short 92in wheelbase)
Front suspension
Solid Dana 30/44 axle on coil springs with radius arms and track bar; manual box (power optional from 1973)
Rear suspension
Solid 9in (early Dana 44) on leaf springs
Weak spots
The steering box mount and frame horns crack. Radius-arm bushings and the track bar allow wander, and the stock box and drag link are vague, with bump steer when lifted.

Stiffening the body or frame? We list 1 kit for this car, such as frame rails, subframe connectors and braces, on its Chassis stiffening page.
